Phil Ivey Captures 4th Career Triton Title in $60K Turbo for $1M

With his latest Triton victory, Ivey climbs back into poker’s All-TIme Money List Top 10.

You can add another major title to the extensive poker resume of one of the greatest to ever play the game as Phil Ivey won his fourth career Triton Super High Roller title in the 2023 Triton London $60K NLH Turbo (Event #12) for $1,007,000.

With this win, Ivey joins Mikita Badziakouski as tied for second in all-time Triton titles, behind current Triton ambassador Jason Koon who leads with eight victories. However, titles are not the only milestone that Ivey’s victory brought as his million-dollar payday in this event puts the legend back inside the Top 10 of poker’s All-Time Money List.

Ivey becomes just the 10th person to surpass the $40 million in earnings mark, more than $8.5 million of which he’s earned playing Triton Events. Prior to this cash, Ivey was a mere $15,421 behind Fedor Holz on the All-Time Money and now he jumps back to the #10 spot with a near million-dollar cushion over Cary Katz, who is the new #11.

The $60 NLH Turbo was not the featured event of the day, as the $125K Tritton London Main Event was playing down to a final table on the Triton livestream. However, the event did bring in 61 entries and pushed the prize pool north of $3.6 million. The final table featured a number of familiar faces including Aleksejs Ponakovs (6th – $285,000) and Nick Petrangelo (3rd – $468,900) both of whom just came off a final table appearance in the $250,000 Triton Poker London Luxon Invitational, which was won by Bryn Kenney for $6.8 million.

Ultimately, it was Ivey taking on PokerGO boss Cary Katz in heads-up play. On the final hand, Katz, with roughly 10 big blinds, looked down at and moved all in. Ivey took a minute, pondering a call, and opted to call with his . Two queens appeared on the flop and Katz, looking dejected quickly stood to shake Ivey’s hand.

With the win, Ivey now has 12 career seven-figure cashes and climbs into the Triton Poker All-Time Money top 20 with 15 cashes.
