Darlene Stuart Scothern

Darlene Stuart Scothern, 67, passed away on August 4, 2023. Darlene was born May 19, 1956, in Evanston, WY to Lillian Hodges and Carl G. Stuart. She graduated from Bonneville High School and took classes at Weber State University.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Darlene married Clinton Reed Scothern in 1979 in the Ogden Temple. She played the piano in many capacities in the church and worked in the Primary.

She loved to play with her granddaughters; enjoyed sewing, playing cards with her friends, enjoyed a good meal out and vacations with her husband.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 43 years, C. Reed; daughter Amy (Eric) Meunier; sister Nanette Anderson, brother Mark (Edna) Stuart; and granddaughters Marissa Meunier and Megan Meunier. She was preceded by her parents, brothers Allan Stuart and Jim Stuart.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the Mount Lewis 1st Ward, 435 No. Jackson, Ogden. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9th at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden and on Thursday prior to the service at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Interment Ogden City Cemetery.
